One hundred days and nineteen thousand miles.
That’s how many days and miles it took us to drive to Alaska and back this summer in our campervan, the Paddy Wagon. Imagine living in 90 square feet and tripping over two dogs for three months.

It was wonderful.
Starting in Colorado, we drove north through Canada, entering Alaska from the Top of the World and Taylor highways, which gave us our first exposure to frost heaves and washboard dirt roads that nearly shook loose our teeth.
It was an adventure from start to end, but nothing captured the spirit of our journey more than the variety of warning and caution signs we came across every day. From earthquakes and avalanches, to blasting zones, wolves, and grizzly bears, we learned that traveling in the Great North is as WILD as the wildfires.
